Everything founders usually ask before developing their idea with us.
What is a Venture Studio, and how is DBL different from a consultant or an accelerator?
A consultant advises; an accelerator mentors companies that already exist. A Venture Studio like DBL does both and more — we validate the idea, help design and build the business alongside you, and for the highest-potential projects, we can join as strategic or equity partners. We share in the execution, not just the advice.
Who is DBL for?
Entrepreneurs with an idea but no validated business model yet; early-stage startups that need strategy, development and market access; professionals with sector expertise who want to turn it into a company; companies creating new business units or digital products; and founders open to a strategic alliance or equity partnership with DBL.
What happens after I submit my idea in "Build With Us"?
Our team reviews every submission personally. If there's a potential fit, we'll reach out within 2 business days to schedule an initial conversation — the starting point of Phase 1, Idea Diagnosis.
Do I have to give up equity to work with DBL?
No. Equity partnership is only one possible path, reserved for select high-potential projects where both sides agree it makes sense — and it's always discussed and defined explicitly during the Business Design phase, never assumed. Many engagements move forward as straightforward paid consulting or development work instead.
Will my idea be kept confidential?
We treat every submission with discretion, and only a small internal team reviews it. That said, submitting the form does not by itself create a legally binding NDA — if you'd like a signed confidentiality agreement before sharing sensitive details, just ask us for one before your first call.
What if my idea isn't validated, or isn't the right fit for DBL?
We'll tell you directly and explain why — that's part of our process. A "no" from us at the Diagnosis or Validation phase is far cheaper than finding out after months of building on your own.
Which industries or focus areas does DBL work in?
We concentrate on three areas: Technology (AI, automation, custom software and digital platforms), Digital Marketing (brand building, content and audience monetization) and Finance & Investment (digital financial guidance tools). Most projects combine more than one.
Do I need to already have a company, or can I start with just an idea?
Just an idea is enough to start. Idea Diagnosis, our first phase, exists specifically to evaluate raw ideas before any company structure is in place.
How much does it cost to work with DBL?
It depends on the phase and type of engagement — some phases are offered as fixed-scope paid work, others (for select projects) as an equity or revenue-share partnership. We'll walk you through the options that make sense for your project after the initial diagnosis.
How do I get started?
Fill out the form in the Build With Us section with a description of your idea or project. That's it — we take it from there.
